Children of the World Draw Peace
To mark the 35th anniversary of the closure of the Semipalatinsk nuclear testing site our Qazak partners have launched an International Campaign: Children of the World Draw Peace.
Children from every corner of the world are being invited to draw the peace they want to live in.
To mark the 35th anniversary of the closure of the Semipalatinsk nuclear testing site, civil organisations OO "DOM" and the Qazaq Nuclear Frontline Coalition, together with renowned Kazakh mouth artist and peace advocate Karipbek Kuyukov, have launched the International Campaign: Children of the World Draw Peace.
456 nuclear tests over 40 years. More than 1.5 million lives affected. And Kazakhstan became the first country to voluntarily give up its nuclear arsenal.
Now, children aged 6 to 18, from any country, are invited to answer: how do I imagine peace?
