Meet Our New Protocols Coordinator: Marcina Langrine

Marcina brings deep community leadership to this role.

Since 2019 she has served as Operations Coordinator at the Marshallese Educational Initiative (MEI) in Northwest Arkansas, overseeing programs across education, advocacy, health, youth leadership, and cultural preservation.

Her work has created pathways for community empowerment through youth mentorship, college readiness, and culturally responsive support for families navigating essential services.

She has played a key role in MEI's Women's Advocacy Program, developing training on domestic, sexual, and gender-based violence that centre cultural understanding and community healing.

She is a certified Mental Health First Aid responder and an alum of the New Leaders Council. She serves on committees focused on health, mental health, maternal health, and youth development.

She also hosts MEI, the Podcast and manages the band MARK Harmony, using storytelling and music as tools for connection and advocacy.

Marcina is a Marshallese woman. In her words:

"The legacy of nuclear testing is not something I learned about only through books, it is part of my community's story and the stories carried by our elders, families, and future generations."
