Bio: Tevaearai Puarai has served as the Executive Director of Moruroa e Tatou since 2023. In addition to his role as an administration officer at the city hall of Moorea Island, he dedicates his free time to volunteering as a youth leader and nuclear activist, demonstrating his commitment to his community.
Based: Currently based in Papeete, from Hitiraro Archipelago of Māòhi Nui and fully identifies as a member of a frontline people whose families, ecosystems, and cultural practices continue to bear the consequences of nuclear testing.
Current: Executive Director of Moruroa e Tātou. He has carefully studied and contributed to adapting and translating the Nuclear Truth Project Protocols for Māòhi Nui.
Formerly: From 2019 served as secretary of a local Moruroa e Tātou branch, which awakened his political and historical awareness of nuclear injustices. He made interventions as a petitioner before the United Nations Fourth Committee in 2022, 2023, and 2024, within the cohort of the Māòhi Protestant Church.
