With the 80th Anniversary of the first use of nuclear weapons, the Nuclear Truth Project has been working with community members in New Mexico and other partners to prepare for commemorative events across New Mexico.
The final In Conversation Series for 2024 was an intimate story telling session with two remarkable speakers – Mitchie Takeuchi and Kazuyo Yamane. Both Mitchie and Kazuyo have intergenerational insights into nuclear violence, with parents, grandparents and other family members having survived the bombing of Hiroshima in 1945.
Our Nuclear Truth Project ‘In Conversation 2024’ meetings are an opportunity for community members and supporters of nuclear abolition to come together to listen and learn about nuclear issues.
The Nuclear Truth Project and ICAN Australia webinar launching the Challenging Nuclear Secrecy report and a deep discussion on how affected communities, researchers, civil society and governments interact with nuclear archives; case studies and community stories; and some tools for researchers coming to this work.
