On 1 March we mark Nuclear Victims Remembrance Day (NVRD). The 1954 Castle Bravo test at Bikini Atoll didn’t end in 1954. For the Marshallese people, the fallout – displacement, illness, contamination – continues today. NVRD is now observed by affected communities across Oceania and globally, a growing chorus of voices demanding accountability, truth, and justice for nuclear-affected peoples everywhere.
Norwegian People’s Aid new report, is the work of years, involving many expert voices, including direct experiences of the harms of nuclear weapons “testing”.
